The Port Sta tus Window

Cluster-

1 and

Cluster-2 in the Port Status window indicate the clusters. The ports of Cluster-1 are listed on

the

upper part, and the ports of Cluster-2 are listed on the lower part of the Port Status window.

Each cluster has up to 16 PCBs (P

rinted Circuit Board)and thenameofeachPCB is displayedonthe

header

theport list. Theicons show theport name, port LEDstatus, andequipment informationfor

the

port. The icons displaye d indicate the following information:

•

: This por t is equipped and currently used. The cable is properly set. This port is available

•

: This port is equ ipped and available for the operation.

•

: This port is not equipped or not available.

Alerts Window

The Al

erts window displays the internal statuses (according to the SIM information reported to the h ost)

of the

connected storage system. The storage system generates a service information message (SIM)

whenever it detects an error or service requirement.

The status history is listed in the Status list on the Alerts window.

To ope

the Alerts window, log in to the Remote We b Console, and then click Go, System Information

and S

tatus on the menu bar of the Remote Web Console main window.

Note:

Storage partition administrators cannot display the Alerts window.
