Error Condition
Probable Cause / Recommended Action
The commands in the Go menu are not
clickable.
The required pro
gram product options might not be
installed or an
error might occur on the window that is
displayed by c
licking the command.
Make sure that a
ll the required program product options
are installed. If they are installed, perform one of the
follow ing operations.
•
Click the Refresh command in the File menu
•
Click the Refresh All command in the File menu
•
Log in to the Remote Web Console again
After dragging and dropping objects to
another
location or area, the scroll bar on
that location becomes unusable.
Close all dialog boxes, and then log in to the Remote
Web Console again.
A focus disappears from the edit box.
Close all dialog boxes, and then log in to the Remote
Web Console again.
Thedisplay of theweb browserbecomes
incorrect, because some GUI items such as
labels and
icons cannot be downloaded
properly.
Log out fro
mthe Remote WebConsole,and then re-log
in. If this error occurs before you log in to the Remote
Web Console, close all dialog boxes and then log in to
theRemoteWeb Console.
The characters are garbled in a window that
atreeisdisplayed.
Click the Refresh command in the File menu.
When you switch windows from one window
to theRemoteWeb Console window,
theRemoteWeb Consolewindow is not
redrawn.
Closeall windows, andthenlog in to theRemoteWeb
Console again.
Even though you have clicked Apply to
execute the changing settings operation,
thenew settings arenot displayedonthe
Remote Web Console window.
Click the Refresh command in the File menu.
The dialog box that says Loading... is
displayedfor alongperiodof time.
A Storage Navigator message dialog box other than
the
dialog box that says Loading... might be displayed
behind this
window. Press Alt key and Tab key to switch
the
dialog box.
ARemoteWeb Consolewindowisforcibly
closed while the processing that takes time,
such as LDEV formatting, is in progress.
Close all windows, wait until the processing that has been
in
progress finishes, and then restart the Remote Web
Console.
Incorrect Display/Disoperation during the Web Browser Operation
Thepageisnot displayedbecause of an
Invalid syntax error.
Input the URL of the desired SVP to the Trusted sites
of
Internet Options dialog box. See “Windows Server
2003”onpage 31.

mputer, and then restart the browsers. If in doubt, you
sh
ould
exit and restart the browsers.
Remote Web Console processing is
temporarily delayed.
An internal processing (for example, configuration change,
P.P. check, operational information acquisition, etc.) might
be
being executed on the SVP (Web server).
If you are unable to resolve an error
condition.
Copy theRemoteWeb Console configuration information
onto floppy disks using the FD Dump Tool (see
Downloading Trace Files Using the FD Dump Tool on page
92), and contact HP technical support (see “Calling HP
Technical Support”onpage103).
