Recommendations
The VSM servers may be set up with Integrated Lights Out (iLO) to allow for remote monitoring. This
requires two additional IP addresses. Information on iLO can be found on HP.com or http://
h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/iloadv2/index.html?jumpid=
reg_R1002_USEN.
Monitoring DPM performance
You can use the Diagnostics panel in the DPM Management GUI to monitor the performance of a
DPM. Use a web browser to access the GUI and log in with a user name and password. Choose the
Diagnostics function on the left pane, then select Plot, Object Type Port, Value all (this can take awhile),
and then choose (or mark) the ports, and then select a variable (for example, Rx Bytes or Tx Bytes).
To activate, click below the Object Type, select port, click below value, and then select all.
