6. Make sure that the SVSP VSS hardware provider is recognized by VSS by opening a DOS
command prompt window (click Start > Run, and type cmd), typing vssadmin list
providers, and pressing Enter.
The information returned by the vssadmin list provider command is similar to the
information shown in Figure 18.

Make sure that the SVSP VSS hardware provider appears in the list.
7. Configure the SVSP VSS hardware provider user names and passwords for accessing the SVSP
domains by performing these steps.
a. Open a DOS command prompt window (click Start > Run, and type cmd).
b. Use the change directory command (CD) to navigate to the installation folder for the SVSP
VSS hardware provider.
The default folder is C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\SVSP VSS Hardware
Provider\.
c. Type SaHWConfig and press Enter.
The information returned by the SaHWConfig command is shown in Figure 19.
