20 Managing resource groups
This chapter describes the tasks for Resource Group management.
About resource group management
Resource groups can be managed only by users with the Admin (Replication Manager management)
permission. Users other than the System built-in account can only use the resources in the associated
resource groups, the configuration definition of those resources, and alerts.
Before creating new resource groups, you need to determine how you will group resources by
considering sites, departments, and associated users. You cannot create a resource group named
All Resources, which is the default resource group in which all resources are automatically
registered.
