Storage Server

Set up a CLI connection from the database host to the InServ Storage Server as follows:

1 On the database host, set the environment variables as follows:

where:

◆ <ss_name> is the system name of the InServ Storage Server attached to the database

host.

◆ <ss_pwfile> is the location for the InServ Storage Server user password file.

2 On the database host, create a CLI user as follows:

where

<username> is the name of the user being created.

3 On the database host, create a storage server user password file as follows:

where <username> is the username you created in step 2.

#TPDSYSNAME=<ss_name>

#TPDPWFILE=<ss_pwfile>

#export TPDSYSNAME TPDPWFILE

NOTE: Before creating a CLI user, refer to the InForm OS CLI Administrator’s

Manual for a list of reserved user names.
