ThinLAN Cable Requirements

If you add an HP J2608A ThinLAN Transceiver Module, the thin coaxial

cables used with the module must comply with the IEEE 802.3 Type

10Base2 requirements. Some RG-58 A/U or RG-58 C/U cables meet these

requirements.

The maximum length of a single thin coaxial cable segment is 185 meters.

The minimum length (for example, to connect adjacent hubs in a rack) is

0.5 meter.
