1-1-2 Functional Overview

The following figure displays the different components of NonStop Storage Analyzer and how they

interact with each other. There are two main user modules namely the SA Client and SA Host.

There are three main admin modules namely SA Log, SA Admin, and SA Alert.

The SA Host uses the following four modules:

o SAMGR

This is the main process which runs on the NonStop. It uses the file SACNFG as its configuration

file. Information such as days, time to start collecting, and store volume are read from the SACNFG

file at initial startup and every time a collection has finished. Thus, when a user changes anything in
